As social scientists and humanists, we understand that current rules related to cannabis should be examined within the context of deep structural racism persisting throughout our history. In our instructing, research, mentoring, and repair to WIU and its broader group, the Cannabis & Tradition Minor is working to determine and dismantle deeply embedded constructions of anti-Black racism. WIU is the one College in Illinois to offer this program. In other words, it should supply several methods for someone to purchase that product truly. This minor will provide all students inclusive expertise, drawing on various backgrounds and modes of understanding, along with emphasizing how societal constructions have affected drug laws, enterprise ownerships, and the current and future challenges anybody coming into this industry is more likely to face.
